A STORY FOR ETHAN
It was a dark and stormy day at Sault Ste Marie. We got a very brief look at the rapids and at the locks that the big boats use to get around them.  No pictures. Maybe next time. (Sault is the French word for jump or the rapids in a river.)

Here you can see what the weather was like.
Here's the Big Mac Bridge.  One of the biggest on the world.
A few years ago, on a stormy night...
A car was blown over the railing and fell all the way down into the river.
On the other side of the bridge we looked into Lake Huron and saw a big freight boat headed north towards the Soo.
...still pretty stormy. A sailor's work is dangerous.
But grandmothers watch from a safe distance, while grandfathers take pictures.
